During his visit to Ohio State, esteemed Vice Chancellor Satbir Singh Gosal presented a seminar titled “Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana: Exploring the Transformative Role of Teaching, Research, and Extension Activities.” Held in Kottman Hall 333, this engaging seminar attracted an enthusiastic audience, with over 100 registrants from around the globe.

Notably, Dave Hansen, Professor Emeritus and Director of FAES International Programs in Agriculture, flew in from Mexico to attend the seminar and reconnect with his colleagues from PAU.

The seminar covered the history of PAU Ludhiana and its longstanding relationship with Ohio State since the mid-20th century. It highlighted PAU’s significant advancements in plant breeding programs and extension education, while also discussing strategies to strengthen and expand cooperation between the two universities. Professor Rattan Lal outlined current plans for a renewed scientific exchange program between PAU and Ohio State, set to launch in 2025
