Farewell Vaírton Radmann

By Vaírton Radmann

I want to thank God for giving me the health to complete my postdoctoral studies at the Lal Carbon Center. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Dr. Rattan Lal for the opportunity and all that he provided to me to complete my postdoctoral studies. I want to thank all my colleagues and the staff at the Lal Carbon Center for the opportunity to meet you, for the time I spent with you, and for the learning I gained during that time.

The experiences I had at the Lal Carbon Center were excellent. During the weekly meetings and seminars, I had the opportunity to learn about the work and projects being developed by the Lal Carbon Center. I had the opportunity to learn about the projects being developed at the Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory and on farms in the state of Ohio. It was very important to visit farms in different locations where the research is being conducted, as it allowed me to know the soils of the region, the management practices, and the crops being planted, as well as to observe the agricultural structures and landscapes of the region. I had the opportunity to see the systems atsome of the laboratories where the work is being done. We had the opportunity to participate in the Farm Science Review, an annual agricultural fair, where we were able to talk to farmers from the region and learn more about the technologies available.Dr. Vairton Radmann and Dr. Rattan Lal at The Ohio State University. I want to thank Professor Juca Sá for creating the opportunity to meet Dr. Rattan Lal, as well as for the exchange of ideas and for the learning acquired during this period.

I would like to conclude by saying that the greatest learning I had during this period was meeting you, listening to you, and learning about your work in support of sustainable agriculture in the world, Dr. Lal. Thank you very much!
