By W Selvamurthy – Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India confers “Top Indian Academic Institution for Patents & Commercialization Award” to Amity University. India is emerging as a knowledge superpower in which Amity is making immense contribution by generating new knowledge, securing the knowledge in the form of IPR and translating them into application to the society through industry and commercialization.
These achievements have been recognized by conferring the National Intellectual Property Award – 2020 upon Amity University as the “Top Indian Academic Institution for Patents & Commercialization” during the ceremony held on August 17, 2021, by Indian Intellectual Property Office under the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
The award was presented by Hon’ble Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India to Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Hon’ble Founder President, Amity Education Group and Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh. Accepting the Award, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Hon’ble Founder President mentioned that Science, Technology and Innovation is an important tool to lead India to the Global Superpower.
