It has been my long-standing aspiration to work with  Dr. Rattan Lal, particularly to gain deeper insights into long-term carbon studies and soil sustainability. This aspiration was realized when I learned about the visiting scholar program at the Lal Carbon Center and was subsequently selected as a visiting scholar at The Ohio State University.

As a visiting scholar at The Ohio State University, I am gaining valuable exposure through interactions with distinguished scientists, access to advanced laboratory facilities and long-term experimental trials, and participation in interdisciplinary research discussions. These experiences have significantly strengthened my research perspective and technical competence. Engagement with international experts and exposure to diverse agro-ecosystems align closely with my research objectives, while also enabling the development of meaningful collaborations and practical, field-oriented solutions for Indian agricultural systems. The Visiting Scholar Program initiated by OSU, serves as an excellent platform for promoting international collaboration in agricultural research and capacity building. It effectively connects Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana with The Ohio State University, facilitating the exchange of knowledge on key issues such as carbon sequestration, climate-resilient agriculture, and sustainable soil health management.
